Taking out Seagate Barrucuda from Backup Plus Drive

I needed to replace my 2TB drives in my Drobo with higher capacities. The cheapest name brand drives this holiday season all happened to be external hard drives. Seems internal drives command a 25% or more premium. Earlier during Cyber Monday week, I posted a few deals on external hard drives from Seagate which all happen to be Seagate Backup Plus drives.

The hard drives inside are actually Seagate Barracuda drives are sufficient for my light duty Drobo 5N NAS which I setup with dual drive redundancy.

Instead of using guitar picks, I just use expired or used up credit/debit/rebate cards. You can re-use the external enclosure if you take it apart carefully.
