Amazon's Echo Dot and Echo Tap Unboxing

Amazon Echo Dot and Echo Tap - Unboxing by mikemuonline

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Amazon's Echo, also known as Alexa. Now, she comes in two different forms both of which are much more portable than the original. In this un-boxing you get to see firsthand what is like to undress both the new Amazon Echo Dot and the Amazon Echo Tap.

As of this evening the Echo Dot is on backorder, and the Echo Tap will ship out in a couple of days.  So far after trying both out, I'm satisfied with what Amazon has done.  If you are interested in a more portable solution than what Amazon Echo has the offer, I recommend placing your order in now.

This is Sony's New $1800 Walkman

The Sony ZX2 (on the right) Walkman will cost you a cool $1800 ($1200 more than the previous Sony NW-ZX1).  Its based on a modified Android OS based on what I saw - definitely not Lollipop.  The demo unit was locked down, but I was able to hear a few demo songs from Sony's hi-resolution music library. What was interesting to me was that at the $1800 price point, the description label called it near hi-res player.

It sounded about as good as I could possibly get in such a loud listening environment with people surrounding me listening to Sony's other audio products.

There are a lot of good looking headphones, but few look as good as they sound.

JBL Bluetooth Speaker Lightshow Combo Spotted

It's going to retail for $199 and is a refreshing addition to the really crowded portable bluetooth speaker market now.  It sounds decent, but the real unique thing about it is the lightshow, which is customizable and programmable (to some degree).
