I love smart security cameras like the Nest Cam Security Camera, but they can't really exactly identify whats in the video nor can they function well outdoors. The Netatmo Presence solves both those problems and adds local micro-SD storage functionality as well.

As shown in the video demo above, its quite capable of detecting all the people around and notifying you via your smart phone about guests, intruders, or just any bi-ped that happens to come into camera view. It also lets you know when cars, animals or pets arrive as well.

The unit features LED and Infrared lights so that they can be used as flood lights, as well as to boost the camera's recording / visibility / detection potential at night. Since it was designed with the consumer in mind, installation appears to be pretty simple and total pricing is going to be around $300 with expected 2nd Quarter ship date.
